The True True is the first dungeon mission in Potions: A Curious Tale. In this area you will unlock the Desert map area and complete the Temple of Truth.

Find the Sphinx

Follow Kitsune to the Orchard area of the Farm. When you enter the area Calum McDonald will thank you for saving his crops. From now on you can ask Helios to knock fruit off trees!

Head west to meet Kitsune at the river.

Kitsune will build you a bridge that will allow you to cross into the desert. It will also give you the Rock Wall Potion recipe.

You will arrive at the Entrance of the Desert. Explore the area before making your way northeast to the next area.

You will arrive in Sphinx’s Rest, the second area of the Desert. Continue east and you will come across The Sphinx.

Answer the Sphinx’s riddle with “Man”.

The Sphinx will tell you to seek the Temple of Truth. Backtrack slightly to go around the sphinx and to the east to enter the next area: The Temple of Truth.

Entering the Temple of Truth

Head northeast upon entering the area and you will come across the Temple of Truth.

Helios will recommend you read the book near the door. The book gives you a hint about aligning the dice in numerical order. The lights on the door indicate that you must do so with 3 button presses.

The solution is Right, Left, Middle:

Enter the temple and click through a cutscene with Emily.

Eastern Path

Follow Emily north. The western path is blocked, so head east. Use the buttons on the north wall to change all the symbols to the earth symbol, unlocking the south barrier.

Move the stones to unlock both buttons.

Go south first to grab the treasure chest, then head east to follow Emily. She will turn into a Golem and walk away. You will have to fight the Golem to continue. I was able to defeat it using 2 Minor Rock Bombs.

Head north until you reach another rock puzzle.

Continue north and then east through the earth missile towers. You will reach a block too heavy to push. Use a Minor Rock Bomb or a similar potion to push the block left, unlocking the barrier towards the start of the temple.

Retrace your steps and take the western path of the temple.

Western Path

There will be a book with some story information. You can also use a potion to unearth the treasure chest.

Head south and avoid the blade.

Continue west and fight another golem.

Head north to find a rock maze puzzle with a treasure chest inside.

Continue north to find a cauldron, then head east through the missile towers to find another block. Use another Minor Rock Bomb to push the block onto the button.

This will unlock a central path that you can take from the beginning of the temple. Retrace your steps back, taking the time to stop and craft potions if necessary.

Central Path

Return to the entrance and head north along the new path.

You’ll enter a room with a GIANT golem. Use the nearby fire missiles to take it out, using your own potions to supplement if necessary.

Continue north to find a room with a book and two treasure chests. Reading the book will reveal the following poem:

Beneath the desert’s blasted skies
This temple starts the balancer’s rise
And in this vault of ancient splendor
The timeless Truth to you shall render

Look to the North, in lands of rime
And find a temple lost in Time
A place where frozen waters flow
In lands forgotten long ago

If you seek where Destruction wends
Look where the lava flow descends
For on these mountain tops of fire
A template holds what you desire

Deep in the swamps, their brackish tides
Another Temple’s knowledge hides
The warmth of Life stands resolute
Amongst the marshlands’ jagged roots

But ‘fore your journey is complete
Further insight you must seek
For you to capture what you’re after
Your final power must be mastered.

Potions: A Curios Tale – Temple of Truth

Luna and Helios will discuss in a cutscene, after which The True True mission is complete!

Head back to Old Haven to trigger the next mission: Journey to the West.
